Here 'tis. *Sigh* I was doing SO WELL with Photoshop... and then it died. Well, I gave up momentarily, actually. As most of you know, I've never photoshopped anything and I really wanted to for Jedi's character Summer and her respective birthday for which there is a contest for. I got as far as mastering the pen tool (it's AWESOME, except now I understand a) why photoshopping on a laptop SUCKS by giving you carpal tunnel, and b) why I need a tablet) but then it didn't want me to color. Or I'm just an idiot. I'll have to try again when I have time.
So I markered instead! I like how it turned out, I kept it simple. Summer in chibi form is Zumba-ing to that one song that sucks (Jedi--you know, the one where you have to gallop and pretend like you're mixing cookie dough in the air with your hand at the same time) but it's her birthday so she's happy anyway. I made her look insanely Irish, with the Lucky Charms shirt and all, hehe. I didn't mean for her to look like she was actually ON fire, but, well, look.
I had fun drawring this! Inked with a Micron, colored with Prismas and white gel pen. I might put the lineart (because I'm proud I could at least do that to officially pop my Photoshop cherry) in scraps. Someone can color it better, I'm sure... just ask if you want to!
Awhaha, how genius! I love the energy in this -- the flames around her paired with that fist-in-the-air leap is just plain FUN. And I really dig the incorporation of her March-themed birthday with the Lucky Charms shirt. Retro-chic at its very best.
And dude, I'll never understand markers... how fantastic they look here! Groovy indeed.
Haha! She's on FIRE! I've seen that luck charms shirt before! or one like it at least. I love the entusiastic pose of your character. Great job on this!~
